Transfer process

How to transfer your domain to Synix

Unlock your domain at current registrar

Log into your current registrar (GoDaddy, Namecheap, Websouls etc.) and disable the Transfer Lock / Registrar Lock. This setting is usually in domain settings under 'Security' or 'Domain Lock'.

Get your EPP / Auth code

Request your EPP code (also called Auth code or Transfer code) from your current registrar. This is a security code that authorises the transfer. GoDaddy sends it by email; other registrars show it in the domain control panel.

Contact Synix with transfer request

Send us your domain name and EPP code via WhatsApp or email. We initiate the transfer on our end. Pay the transfer fee in PKR if applicable (some transfers are free).

Approve the transfer via email

You'll receive a transfer approval email at your WHOIS contact address. Click approve to confirm. This is a mandatory security step required by ICANN.

Transfer completes in 5–7 days

Standard domain transfers (.com, .net, .org) complete within 5–7 days. .pk domain transfers via PKNIC may take slightly longer. Your website stays live throughout.

Domain transfer questions

No. Your website continues to run on your current hosting during the transfer. Only the registrar (the company where the domain is registered) changes — not where the website is hosted. If you're also moving hosting to Synix, we coordinate both migrations simultaneously.

International domains (.com, .net, .org) transfer within 5–7 days. .pk and .com.pk transfers through PKNIC typically take 3–10 business days. We keep you updated via WhatsApp throughout.

For most international domains, the transfer fee is equal to one year of registration (which also extends your registration by 1 year). For .pk domains, there may be a PKNIC transfer fee. Contact our team for exact pricing on your specific domain.

In GoDaddy, go to My Domains, click on your domain, go to Settings and find 'Transfer domain away from GoDaddy'. Request the Auth code and GoDaddy will email it to your account email address within minutes.

If you can't access your old registrar account, contact our team. Depending on the domain extension, there are alternative transfer processes. For .pk domains specifically, PKNIC has procedures for ownership verification without account access.
